This is an Unteroffizier from the XVIII. Gebirgskorp,
3. Kompanie Gebirgs-Nachrichten-Abteilung 70 and their story goes something like this, Gebirgs-Nachrichten-Abteilung 70 was formed on 1. April 1938 from Telegraph Bataillon 7 of the Austrian Army in Salzburg. The Abteilung became part of the XVIII. Gebirgskorp in 1940 in Wehrkreis VII. In December of that year the Abteilung was increased in size to four Kompanie.
